Whirlwind in the Motherland

I had a whirlwind trip to the US - packed with far more than I expected.

We had a great time with Ella, my beautiful little neice, my brother and sister-in-law. The boys were delighted to get to play with her, and she seemed to like - most of the time - these two high-energy boys.

I was delighted to see my childhood playmate (my brother) move into full play gear with my current playmates (Jacob and Timothy).

The boys got some good old-fashioned American indoctrination - in food. They ate silver corn, s'mores, icy-pops, and a ton of other great summer musts. And they tie-dyed T-shirts.

We visited the aquarium much to the delight of the three little people. Well, delight until Jacob said, "we don't need to go to that hallway. They only have fish, and we've seen the fish."
After much consternation and reluctance, I decided to go to my (5th!!) high school class reunion. It was so much fun. What a blessing to have fabulous friends after so many years!

The next day, the "girls" got together for a BBQ, packed with kids, hubbies, and lots of fun. I can't believe how many little people have been created.

I went to the zoo with my fav, Jenny, and her darling little Jack, and were joined by Lisa who is a delight with kids. The boys loved feeding the giraffes and watching the monkeys.

We went to several local parks for lots of fun - trains, carousels, animals, etc.

We bid farewell to our beautiful first family home on Chesapeake street, which went on the market in early August. So many great memories.
